The Brief

Our client approached us to assist with a retrospective planning application for a single-storey side extension that had already begun construction within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). Navigating planning in such a sensitive setting required a careful and considered approach.

Our Approach

We worked closely with the client to review the existing extension and guide it toward a successful planning outcome. By focusing on appropriate materials, scale, and architectural character, we ensured the scheme aligned with the expectations of a home within the AONB setting in Hastings.

Our role was to translate the built work into a coherent and policy-compliant proposal, giving the client confidence and clarity throughout the process.
